Buying A Gun Online?
Buying a gun online is, of course, legal and very easy. You will need to follow Federal guidelines when having your purchases shipped to you but that is as easy as finding an FFL (Federal Firearms License) holder in your area to facilitate transfer of ownership. You must be 18 years old to buy a long gun and 21 years or older to buy a handgun.
In my own case, I purchased a pistol online (and got a great deal), completed the payment process and had my local FFL holder fax a copy of his FFL and my name as the purchaser to the seller. The gun was shipped to my FFL holder and I simply went to his office and completed the paperwork to transfer ownership of the weapon to me. My FFL holder charged a flat fee of $20 for the transfer and I went home with my new pistol. I am already planning my next purchase and it will be online as well.
There are terrific deals to be had online and you shouldn’t be afraid to take advantage of the online gun market and sites such as The Gun Source, Impact Guns, and Gunbroker.com. The process is simple, customer service outstanding, and you’ll be happy with the gun you bought. You might even have saved enough dough to invest in your next purchase.
The Gun Source and Impact Guns (www.impactguns.com) are both comprehensive online retailers of guns, knives, accessories, ammunition, clothing, and much more! They’ve got a great selection of handguns from the major brands at some incredible prices. Glock, Taurus, Smith & Wesson, Springfield, Ruger, Beretta, Browning, Sig Sauer,HK, and many more. You’ll be amazed at the deals available on their websites and you can even score free shipping on certain items.
You can also find scopes, laser sights, flashlights and tactical lights, scope mounts, rail mounts, all sorts of tactical gear and extra magazines for your weapon. They even have a number of videos to help you make the right choice and how to use your new purchase.
I am totally hooked on buying online. I went looking for a Taurus model that I couldn’t find anywhere else and not only did The Gun Source have it in stock, the price was too much to pass up…and the shipping was FREE!! I’ve already got my next 5 guns picked out and I’ll save a butt load of cash buying online from places like Impact Guns and The Gun Source.
Editors Note: Apparently my experience with the Gun Source was not typical and many people ordered from their website and never received their merchandise. I want to apologize to any of my readers who were duped or who may have paid for items they never received. As far as I can tell, the Gun Source has shut down operations leaving a lot of customers in the lurch. I’m only out about $100 but others may have more on the line. Pleases contact the Attorney General of Wisconsin to file a complaint against this company. I am trying to shift the links on this site to Impact Guns and will try to find some other reputable online gun dealers that you can deal with in confidence.
Impact Guns has become my favorite online gun retail site but there are a number of great online retailers and I’ll try to post reviews of each as I come to find them. In the meantime, get over to Impact Guns and start shopping for your next gun or gun related item. Remember, you can never have too many!
