This is a very well done video review of the Taurus PT709 9mm semi-automatic pistol. The 709 is also commonly called the 709 Slim due to its very narrow profile. This gun is perfect for CCW (concealed carry weapon) because of its slim profile and compares favorably to the Baby Glock although it carries fewer rounds the single stack magazine (7 rounds of 9mm vs. 10 rounds in the Glock). The PT709 from Taurus has a polymer frame, steel slide with 3 dot sights, and 3.2 inch steel barrel. This handgun has a trigger safety (similar to the Glock) and a thumb safety. The controls, including the magazine release are all located on the left side of the gun suited to a right handed shooter (sorry southpaws, no ambidextrous controls this time). Check out the Taurus PT709 Slim 9mm pistol.
A solid, striker fire, well conceived self defense/range pistol with a lot to offer for the money. Many “Glock like” characteristics at a very attractive price point this is a pistol I wasn’t ready to like as much as I do. It’s a great 9mm single stack, ergonomic package that is very easy to shoot. We review, field strip, and range test this offering from Taurus. See us at:
